Oh dear. I accidentally dropped my other oxy and its shell broke. It fell in the crack of the sofa... and despite getting such a soft fall it broke quite badly. Its shell already had cracks and holes and it was thin like paper and brittle. I doubt the poor thing ever had calcium in its life. It came from the house's balcony so not very much food, especially this spring as we moved out in February and took the plants before the snails came out. I tried to fix it with different kind of tapes and plasters, but it's futile. It's too small for anything to attach to it and I suspect I ended up doing some damage while trying to fix it. It's ironic, that the reason it dropped in the first place is because I was trying to be super-gentle while moving it and not squeeze too hard with my tweezers... and then I didn't hold on tight enough. Any suggestions welcome, in case someone has an idea I didn't try yet. He's on top of cuttle now, with some dinner. I've sprayed him to keep him moist... I just hope he starts eating the cuttle ASAP to get the rebuilding process started.

In that case, I'd say keep him moist and not try any further repairs! Maybe move him when hes on food only, instead of trying to pick up?

I know that feeling. I was handling my baby snail one day and I dropped it in the kitchen with who knows what's on the floor! Luckily, no shell breaks. I would probably just keep him moist.

I've been spraying him every couple of hours. He's pretty deep in the shell. The shell is so weak it's see-through. He has not come out yet. He just needs to reach out and eat the cuttle... poor little thing.

Well, looks like little one passed on very soon after retracting, judging by the state of the body today. I'm sorry, little snail. I'm so sorry. I'll try to make those two eggs hatch for you, little snaily.
