I posted a little while ago thinking my Samson was dying with some odd growth on his head, as it turned out (as I was informed here ) he's just becoming a big boy. Well, this morning I found this . . . I've put them into a seperate container and put the container back where they were found. I've only kept 10 or so as I know I couldn't deal with the whole lot if they all hatched, the rest have been put in the freezer. Have I done the right things, is there anything else I should do for the eggs I kept?

He's just a normal fulica, but he shares a tank with a couple of albinos and I don't know who's been getting frisky so the babies could be normal or albino.

Congrats! Sounds like you've done the right things. Now just keep the egg container warm and humid, though since it is summer the temperature will probably be good without any extra measures. Fulicas are prolific breeders and that is in part due to their eggs being easily hatched.

Congrats! ;D They should hatch fairly quickly in the summer weather, it took less than 2 weeks for Dave's clutch. I'm sure you'll love the tiny snails, they are mega cute! ... cos if you kept all of them you would be over run with snails! Ahem, which is currently happening to me! I just wasn't sure that the eggs were viable, as we'd just got Dave, and we were told he was a 5 month old snail... Now I know better!

Put up a classified post when they are 3-4cm big at least, I'm sure there will be homes for the ones you cannot keep yourself. I wouldn't mind adopting a Dave's baby or few myself!

Update on the hatchling, there are 6 of them now (2 that I found out in the main tank, I must have missed them when I took out a couple of more recent clutches). They're all doing well and are pretty much the cutest things I've ever seen The first to hatch - The most recent to hatch - Size difference between the two -
