I'm new to the whole snail game, I've got 2 at the moment (approx 4 months old so they're still quite diddy. One of them is always up and about and seems really happy and eats a lot! The other one is less active, I rarely see him out unless I wake him up and he's not grown as big as the other! Was just wondering if this is just a case of snail personalities or what? Ironically though, right now the little ones awake and the biggun just won't do anything! Any tips and tricks for a beginner would be lovely! Not entirely sure what species they are, but from looking at pics etc I would assume achatina fulica Also, they've started pooping ALOT, and it's always stuck to them and a bit gross. I clean them off as best I can but they're just poop machines! Is this just expected as they mature or am I feeding them particularly fibrous foods? (they seem to love good old fashioned dandelion leaves but I do make sure I vary what I give them with cucumber & kiwi & apple and stuff like that) Thanks!!

I have always found that the new arrivals were so different in personality, some shy burrowers some would do a few laps of the tank. They vary a lot some Midnight Cowboys you sedom see out and others moving about morning or early evening. If there is plenty of poop they are feeding well, mine could poop for England lol!
