My partner brought in today a Cepaea (I'm not 100% sure which one this is) with a broken shell. It's not a huge damage, though I don't know how long the snail had been there on the road with its shell open... I've seen it put out the foot a little bit so it is alive, but pretty deeply retracted. I'm trying to heal him now, of course. Here's pics: I'm not entirely sure how to go about this, though. I thought I use some medical tape to seal it until it heals by itself, but the plastic tape wasn't as waterproof as I thought. It started coming off due to the sheer humidity of the tank without being exposed to water. Any advice on how to get the little guy sealed up and sliming again?

If you don't find a better suggestion, maybe give this a try ? Dab the shell with kitchen roll to get it as dry as possible, cut the diamond shape of tape as exact as you can and you only got one shot to fix it on the shell. Don't press down too hard but rub briskly to achieve the bond. Good luck !

Thanks, I will visit the home improvement store tomorrow, they probably have that tape. Hopefully the little guy dares to come out enough to taste the cucumber tonight. Must be better than sitting on the sidewalk!

Had trouble with internets over the weekend so couldn't give status report... unfortunately the little guy had given up the fight the night when I posted this. RIP.
