Hi everyone, so my bananas mated a few days ago and after they separated I put both of them into a smaller tank so i can keep it nice and humid and so i wont have to move them once theyve been laid, and im now starting to wonder if this is a good choice because theyve showed no sign of laying eggs and the tank is really too small to keep two full grown slugs in for a long period of time. i know mollusks can store sperm for long periods of time so i was wondering if you guys think i should put them back in their normal tank until they lay their eggs or keep them in the smaller one and move the eggs when i find them

I've noticed that eggs hatch the best in the conditions that the parents feel the best, so what I've done with eggs now is put them in a smaller container with substrate and bury that container into the main tank. Has to be really quite small container, like 5cm diameter maximum. That way you can locate the eggs easily.

yea i do the placing the smaller tank in the main tank thing too, mainly because i only have one set of temp and humidity gauges they seem to be doing fine in the small tank but does anyone know a rule of thumb for how long after mating slugs/snails normally lay their eggs?
