omg! Beth all our snails have such similarities, first both our pairs of fulica (from the same batch) got ill, then one of mine and one of yours recovered well near enough at the same time and one of mine and one of yours stayed ill, now our iradelei start mating at the same time, hehe, i wonder if they will finish at the same time too ;D the race is on, now we have to see who gives birth first, LOL, weird if it's on the same day

Randy little devils!! I only have one Iredelei - Kenny hehe - thank god, I would be worried sick of waking up and finding a tank FULL of ickle cute white babies!! Mike didn't have any trouble shifting his babies to new homes though, so it shouldn't be too bad ;D Let us know what happens!!!! How long do they take to 'lay' the babies?? Anjie,x.

oh hello. I'd say they take the same amount of time to lay the babies as other achatina eggs take to hatch (around 2 weeks)
and they're about a million times easier to sell than fulica so don't panic ;D
that reminds me i'd better start breeding mine...

I will sell the babies if they are healthy, with both parents being siblings (i think, are thye Mike) then they may be inbred, if they survive to a cm then i will sell them, if i can't sell all of them individually then i will give any left over to an importer on the net

I'm starting to think iredalei do better in a tank on their own. i put all mine together and they looked so happy, they didnt like being with the other big snails i dont think...
for some reason i'm really desperate for iredalei babies....fingers crossed ;D

They're at it again only 8 days since the last time! Look how muddy they get too. They are suspended with very little support.... Cold shower for these two, me thinks

How big do they have to be before they're mature enough to mate? I've got 2 and don't want to come home to a tank full of bubbas. I thought they were still babies but there nearly as big as the ones in the pic

They took me by surprise to be honest.....my plan was to separate them before they reached mating age! One is 4.5cm and the other is 5.5cm. I'll put them in separate tanks as soon as they stop mating, bit late I know, but hopefully they won't have too many.......

mine are 4 - 4½cm shell length, you will start to notice a little limp on the right side of the head just behind the eyes now and then when they are mature, especialy apears when thye are eating and interacting
