Just wondered if there were any obvious signs (other than eggs!) that a snail had mated?
Boycie and Marlene were curled up together deep deep underneath the moss for several hours (and I did check on them and neither were inside their shells so not sleeping), then when they came out - Boycie spent most of the night on the cuttlefish (which he hasn't eaten since he joined us), and then Marlene came out in the middle of the night and did the same.
I'm probably just wishful thinking. *lol*
And no, Boycie didn't spark up a B&H afterwards... ;D

Is possible, a lot of the bigger species seem to bury to mate, sometimes there will be what looks like a piece of wet cotton hanging from the genital area, if not then leave it a couple of weeks and then look into their air hole, if there is a white or yellow lump appearing then they are pregnant :-)

Well Freddie and Izrina had been spending a lot of time together snuggling and all that. And you know what I have now lol Here Sarah, that piece of wet cotton, would it be really thin?

it's not long or anything, just looks like a piece of cotton wool, i see it on my fulica a lot after they have mated, but they usually eat it not long after

Well they didn't have that, but perhaps it came off before they "surfaced" and came out of the moss *lol*
I know they probably didn't, it's just they're quite a bit more active now, and the worry I had about them eating at first is well and truly over cos they eat like piggies now *lol*
It was the cuttlefish that did it though, but to be fair when I cleaned them out my eldest rinsed it under the tap, and it went a little big softer, so that might just be it. You never know though.
But Boycie's certainly *ahem* showing his interest (willy) more often ;D
