Nooooooo, one of my fulica has laid eggs. Oh great, this is the last thing I need... This is the first batch of eggs that this snail has produced. Does that mean they will be infertile? Some of the eggs are very small while others are of normal size. Oh, what am I going to do? I cracked 3 open and there was nothing in there. There are about 100 eggs and I think I will have to freeze them. How long should I freeze them for? Thanks, Sonic

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

A day or two should do it. I wouldn't keep many no-one wants them anymore sadly.

They must have been laid on Saturday night, I discovered them Sunday night. It would still be ok to freeze them now, or lets say tomorrow?

Nope, none have hatched. Freezer time for them. It's kind of sad, but no one wants fulica anymore. So if I hatched the eggs, then I could be stuck with about 100 babies. I would never be able to sell all them, even some pet shops don't take fulica. To be honest, I wouldn't want to sell snails to some pet shops, knowing the way they keep them, terrible.

i know it's especially hard when it's your first batch, but i'm pretty grateful my first batch of fulica eggs i tried to hatch were infertile, don't know what i would have done if they had hatched, probably slap myself, lol

Ha! Lol, these aren't my first batch of eggs. I have kept snails for years. However, they are the first batch for this snail though.
