One of my Cepaeas seems to have a problem with his eye. The stalk is a stump and I cannot see the optic nerve inside when looking against the light.
What's the prognosis for these usually?
I got a photo, will post it once it shows up in my uploads.

I have found a one-eye Cepaea once, named him Pirate His stalk was short and without an optical nerve inside, but a week later an optical nerve appeared and the stalk started to grow, and pretty fast I must say. In a matter of two weeks he had both his eyes, same size and moving normally. There is just a tiny little bump on his eyestalk where it was damaged. So I don't think there's anything to worry about. If it was damaged, it will regrow fast, unless he was born like this.

Unless the area of the eye stalk is infected or something I think a snail would be fine with one eye if it doesn't grow or grow back.
