I need help identifying this snail. Sorry the photo quality is so poor, and im not sure how to up load multiply photos so I will post more in this thread. Also is this snail asexual? I believe he was a stowaway on a plant I bought and now I have tons of little babies in my tank that I don't want. I know this is a snail lovers forum but any suggestions for getting rid of the babies? Thanks peeps! Attachments:

Hi, How big is it roughly? i can't really tell from the photos but try looking at bladder snails and greater pond snails. I know they can be a problem in tanks, we have ramshorns, greater pond snails and bladder snails in our garden pond and they're not a problem and help control algae (we don't have fish in the pond it's a natural style pond).
Some fish eat the snails apparently. but i'm afraid i don't know much about aquatic snails and this is mainly a land snail forum (although there are pleanty of aquatic snail fans here). Perhaps try some fish tank keeping forums? i'm sure it's a regular problem that they may be able to help you with controlling them. but from what i gather from a few friends who do keep fish it's almost impossible to get rid of the snails once they've settled in.

be careful with these guys, they spread like wild-fire in tanks and will over populate your tank and eventually this will cause your fish to die due to the snails making your tank over-stocked.
Buy Assassin snails. They will eat all these snails and are very unlikely to breed, they are also very attractive snails, and are VERY easy to keep. I keep them in all my tanks now to make sure I never get another out-break!

I'd also recommend getting an assassin snail or two. Apparently they breed quite slowly and the babies are desired helpers among aquarium hobbyists so you can probably sell any possible extra snails. Plus they're pretty and don't bother the fishes.
I also understand assassins come in male and female snails, maybe that's why they don't breed like most snails do.
