I was just wondering, those of you who have alot of success for egg hatching, what did you do with the eggs? Have you had most success out of the parents tank, or in? If out of the parents tank, under what conditions did your eggs seem to hatch? I have read the thread in breeding on the subject, but couldn't decide if it was saying in was best or not.

The eggs I hatched I left both in the parents tank and out of the parents tank but noticed that when left in they seem to do a bit better. When you are afraid the parents might damage the eggs you can always take the parents out.But other people on the forum had success with eggs outside the parents tank so I don't think one method is better than the other.

Mine were put into a pot with capillary matting in the bottom and thats it, then the pot was put into my big tank, the pot does have a lid but with holes in, the lid must have holes in as believe it or not the eggs do have a pin prick hole in each one which is used for breathing out of, My big tank has heat mats and a lamp, the thermometer in the big tank say 26°C day and 22°C at night, but the pot is up against the side of the tank were the heat mat is mainly for a night but it does mean the temp might me around 28°C in the day instead, the eggs don't feel cold to the touch and don't feel warm to the touch, more like room temp or sometimes cool, I don't really need to spray them as it stays humid, but they should stay moist.
I had 32 eggs and 15 have hatched with at least 2 more to hatch anytime, now remembering 5 eggs popped, 1 broke, and all the egg were dropped everywhere at one stage, that percentage is pretty good and it may have been much much better if not for all the accidents, but we'll see as i have plenty more eggs to come :-)
This was my first time hatchng eggs so i'm well chuffed and think i will stick with it from now on for any eggs unless some awkward ones come by *lol*
any help.......

This probably isn't any help, but I heard ages ago that to hatch the eggs, all you had to do was put them in a plastic container with a few holes drilled for ventelation and some vermiculite to sit on or be buried in (can't remember), then set it on top of the TV to give it a gentle warmth. I think that might have been from an american site before GALS were illegal in the USA though, it was AGES ago. So sorry if this is an old long-tossed-out method. I actually had planned to try it to be honest, it sounds like a good way to go about it.
Edit: forgot to add misting it to keep up the humidity.
