Hello, everyone. In one tank I have 4 young albopictas and 2 young fulica (they're not full grown so don't worry, they have room!) I think they are going to be becoming sexually mature in the next few months. Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a way to tell the difference between fulica and albopicta eggs, I'd hate to seperate the fulica as they have been together since birth but it will be so hard to rehome their babies, so I will be freezing their eggs, however I would like to have a go at breeding the albopicta.

I believe Albopicta eggs to be slightly larger and more rounded than Fulica, but not by much..

I have seen hybrids of fulica and albopicta on sale apparently they can crossbreed, just to add a further complication ( Landsnails .org )

Oh dear, that's odd! Looks like I'll probably have to separate them then- It's such a shame as they've been together for a long time now.
