This isnt a problem just something that amuses me every time i see it.
I have a 4 foot tank that's pretty wide and high with plants and pots, places to hide etc etc, theres also this cave thing in there with an opening for the snails to slime through
Unfortunately my tiger snail is faaar too big for it now.. ever since being a tiny snail its been his place to go to sleep. now that he's too big for it he gets his shell as much through the opening as he can then uses his head to lift the cave and wedge himself inside.. he's a total pro at this now.
In fact he's getting too high for it now too so it was resting on his shell. I've had to build this wall of mud on the underneath edge to heighten it. He's so persistent. Its a decent sized rock cave thing too!
Anyone else have a snail with a spot they don't want to give up?

hahaha! That must really be a sight!
I've put a couple of different sized flower pots in my ovum tank, and one of them took a fancy to the smallest pot, but now he's so big he was pretty much wedged inside yesterday! I've cut some of the side off and laid it back in so he can fit in it for a little while longer, but think I'm going to have to slowly start buying larger pots and then secretly replacing them when he outgrows them lol

Some if them are like that yeah. It's their homing instinct. I'd remove the cave until the tiger finds a new favourite place. Not a lot else that will help with persuading!
