We have 4 giant land snails who are around 8 months old. New to snailcare. I cleaned their tank today and one has a lesion (see photo). I have no idea how long it has been there as cannot usually distinguish between the 4 and they don't always stay out of their shells when I clean them out. Would be so grateful for a bit of help, thank you Attachments:

Congratulations, your snaily has become a teenager! You should keep an eye out for eggs if any of the others displays similar white bump on the right side of the head. They probably have hormones whirring like teen snails only can have.

Yes, I've been seeing my own snails doing this lately. They've got the snail equivalent of a spontaneous chubby!

Thank you! I've investigated the others but no sign at the minute. I'll keep my eye out and read through the site about what to do if we end up with any little snailies joining our fantastic four. Happy New Year PetSnails.co.uk

I would recommend freezing the majority of the possible eggs, unless you are prepared to care for or rehome hundreds of little snails! It's possible to let a few hatch to enjoy seeing the babies grow whilst maintaining population numbers in control. There should be several good topics on the forums with info to get you started, and as for the rest ask away. Happy and slimy new year!
