Well the title says it all really, my zanzibarica have been in the exact same position for 30 hours. Is this a problem or is it normal? At one point i was worried that they had died as their skin wasn't pulsing like it normally does, i prodded one gently a couple of times and it took a while to respond but moved it's head a little. They are normally very active and hungry snails. Could there be a problem, can they get... "Stuck?" Anyone with experience of A. Zanzibarica please let me know I finish work in 11 hours and will check on them again when I get back in. Also just to everyone who's sent me a message, I will reply then too I'm not just ignoring them lol! Thanks

I don't know much about zanzibarica but my helix pomatias are mating right now and have been on it for 3 straight days, they haven't eaten or moved much from the spot either. It's not the first time though so I'm not worried.
I don't think they can get stuck, maybe the mating wasn't a success the first time (or the second or third lol - something i've often observed with my pomatias), so they are just trying it over and over until they succeed. I don't know, just a guess.
And LOL I can actually imagine the poor snail turning its head thinking 'jeez u curious hooman, can't you see we're busy??!!' ;D

My zanzibaricas are still babies, so I've no experience in this regard. I do know that many snails mate for hours. (The Leptaxis undata are very quick (minutes not hours) and the fastest I've seen (or not seen - I've only witnessed them mate once, but know from the love darts and babies that they probably do it all the time)).

Hahaha! Thanks for the replies, everyone. It seems some time between 30 and 40 hours they finished off! Hopefully I will be expecting some babies soon does anyone know how long that usually takes in this species? They aren't even fully grown yet though, so I wouldn't be suprised if there are none for a while. Got a picture of them.
