I found my newest Leopard Slug - Limax maximus here in Canada in January of all times. It was a very mild day no snow and I was out slugging in my compost and on my way back in I spotted her sliming across one of my gardens so I brought her in and fed her. She ate for about 15 minutes or more straight. I put her in with my baby L. maximus that hatched from the last Adult leopard I had that passed away a few days after her second batch of eggs. My newest leopard turned out to be pregnant as well and had a batch of eggs February 1st. I am going to post three pictures. All on separate post because I don't know how to put more than one photo on a post, sorry. I don't have a name for her could anyone suggest a name for me. vallery 1st picture: a photo of the two pieces of bark she loves to always sleep under during the day. Attachments:

3rd picture showing her on my hand to show her size. I have never named any of my slugs but would really like to name her but haven't a clue what to name her hope someone has a suggestion. She is such a beauty. vallery Attachments:

Well, I've never been good at naming things. I have an unidentified snail named "Snail" and when I was four, I named my pet bird "Birdy". I also had an iguana named Iggy. If it were my slug, I'd probably name her Leopatra.

I love that name! She reminds me of Garfield when he was smaller. Same pattern. She's a beauty.

Thank You pinkunicorn , I couldn't believe I found Leoparta in January of all times and also the second pregnant leopard slug in a row. I have some babies from the last leopard I found that passed away after her second batch of eggs. They are all different sizes, I guess because they hatched at different times and came from two separate batches. but they are really growing fast. One little guy looks a little deformed. Keeping an eye on him. vallery
