I saw something that looks very suspiciously like eggs inside my snail. Could people confirm my suspicion and tell me if she's pregnant or not? Also, how long does it usually take (under ideal conditions) from the time two snails mate till the eggs are actually laid?
Thanks!
PS. I'm trying to insert an image here... I need some suggestions on how I can do this...

If like look like small white/yellow oval shapes then it's most probably a batch of eggs

Here is a picture of my pregant snail, so you can compare: The eggs weren't actually that clear to the naked eye, the flash on the camera lit them up. But if this is similar to what you see, then your snail is probably ready to lay soon!

Oh well, I can't find a way to upload my picture yet, but it does look very similar, only probably less eggs and maybe a bit smaller. So, it will hopefully be a couple of days then!
shaydeesnail, I see that you put your picture on imageshack.us. Is that popular website to upload images? Are there other options?

Oooh looks like you will be expecting baby snailies soon then! I think the other picture uploading site that people use is usually photobucket, I used imageshack when I first started on the forum because I remembered that I already had an account with then from years ago but I have no idea which is better. There are probably quite a few other photo hosting sites out there too

i use flickr but again like shaydeesnail that's because i had an old account with them and there is a limit to how many photos you can upload per month and in total. Any image hosting website should do however.

Yes that's a load of eggs. Burrowing can just be as they sleep but she could also be laying eggs you'll find out soon enough Quick tip if you want to include the picture in the thread rather then a link if you right click on the picture and then select a size (such as medium 640) it'll take you to another page with the picture at that size if you right click on that picture you can choose copy image location then on your post click insert image and when it asks for the url you can paste it in then the picture will appear in the thread. (not necessary but just incase you want to in future
