So far, I'm at a 99% hatch rate. I'm hoping the last egg will be along shortly. All of the babies are doing great, most are now eating the sweet potato and kale bits I gave them, and I'm finding tiny poos. One baby even felt comfortable enough to produce a little pile right on my hand. They've grown visibly in the last couple of days, much to my surprise! I noticed that one of the babies gnawed at the eggshell of an unhatched snail, but it only served to help him out, it seems. He's sliming around with the others.

I'm happy to share The hatch rate is now at 100%! All are doing fine and are showing a strong interest in normal snail foods. I also caught a pair of my adults mating again this morning. I guess they plan on keeping me busy for the foreseeable future! Edit: More pics!

I HAVE EGGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a major mite issue so I was taking all of the stuff and dirt out and I was looking for the worms and I found some eggs in a flowerpot!!! There's three or four white ones and some yellowish ones. They're round and a few millimeters wide. I hope they hatch!!!

I'm back after my 2 week vacation, and the babies are huge! Not a single casualty, either (my boyfriend took such good care of them! ) They moved into their big-snail bin last night and are sliming it up like crazy. There's no stopping these guys! Next to both an American dime and a five-pence for international comparison. Also, while I was gone, apparently my snails laid a second batch of eggs. My boyfriend dutifully dug them out and froze them. But he must have missed an egg, because I found another tiny baby sliming around with the adults! Oh well- you can never have too many snails!

I want them so baaaaddddddddd..... but my mom thinks that 8 aspersa, 7 neohelix albolabris, and 60-some babies are enough. D':

AHHH BABIES baby snails are the cutest little things, especially with their little faces and huge eyes. I can't wait for my first batch to hatch out. I want them so baaaaddddddddd..... but my mom thinks that 8 aspersa, 7 neohelix albolabris, and 60-some babies are enough. D': Tell your mom that some people have several hundred snails and they still keep hoarding them. ..I don't have a snail problem I swear.

I fall squarely into that category. Or at least, I'm going to. How much do you want to bet that I'll "accidentally" miss an egg or two from every batch laid?
