Hi everyone , I just found leopard slug eggs in their tank. this tank is way to short for the leopards to breed as leopard slugs do. Does anyone know if leopard slugs lay unfertilized eggs without breeding? vallery

They don't lay eggs without breeding, but they do lay eggs that nothing come of. The adults soon die after as well, but keep an eye out on those eggs! They typically take around a month to hatch but don't be disheartened about the height as mine have had successful babies in a 2ft tank Any developments in the eggs or with the adults just pop it on here as it's been a really lucky year for breeding them and more information is being gathered. Good luck with those eggs! If you can get pictures that would be fantastic. Fingers crossed for you

Hi kitana , thank you for your reply and help. I have been lucky enough, twice, to find two pregnant leopard slugs I had kept each in containers by themselves. Their clutches successfully hatched. Plus I had also found a clutch of leopard eggs outside under a patio stone and brought them in and successfully hatched those. The ones I have now are the offspring which I have kept all together minus the adults since they hatched. This is the very first batch of eggs from the offspring. vallery
