I have 5 wild garden snails, and the smallest one's shell broke completely off. Right after he continued to move fast, and hang off the top. I do watch rather carefully to make sure the 4 others don't go sliding on top of him, and I do have his broken shell pieces, and some wild empty broken ones (I can't get culterfish bone) so I'm just wondering, will he die?

All the way gone? Pics please? And I would plop him in a small Tupperware container and keep him in increased humidity with cuttlebone and lettuce.

Really not a good thing to hear, if the shell is completely off then yes, unfortunately he'll most likely die soon. As Dumbledore said, I'd put him in a small container so the little guy can't strain himself.
