Love the pics! Your snails are SOOOO adorable. I love aspersas. My snails are more of a plain brown, but if you look closely you can see pretty patterns. I will try to post pics as soon as I can.

Not sure who you're asking, but I just put a piece in my snails' habitat with the soft side up. I have never SEEN them rasping on it, but you can tell where they've been rasping on it. I didn't really do anything, but sometimes snails can be stubborn (I think sometimes on purpose.)

Snaily and Bean! So cute Bean makes her way onto the substrate. I just love watching them when their shell falls over to one side, for some reason :-) Most of the babies are the same size as the snail on the top here. The one on the wall is little and hatched five days after the other snails: Snaily, your shell is on sideways!! Snaily going all-out Snail psychology: I've noticed that snails really like to crawl along edges! Snaily eating cuttle (sorry, I don't know how to make snails like cuttle!): Good snailies!
