This has happened to quite a few of my aspersas. Sorry the picture's bad, I have shaky hands. It still retracts and they seem to sleep inside of it with it expanded out like a blanket. It's pretty odd looking and I've never seen it before but they're behaving normally, if anything they seem a lot brighter than usual. Is this any cause for concern or am I just being paranoid? I can touch it and it feels solid.

Have they mated recently? Mine get puffy mantles when they've just mated, I think :-)

Mine don't seem to stop mating lately. That'd explain a lot if that's why, I'm going to be drowning in tiny snails at this rate.

My aspersa's look like this all the time after they've mated.

That's a relief then, thanks!

Yep, it looks completely normal I always think they do look kind of uncomfortable when it happens but they don't seem to care!

My ones do that as well after they have mated, they always return to normal.
