I haven't been around here in ages, I need to be more active. I've been so busy lately with too many things. Anyway, I found someone selling this species, a pair of them, and I'm very tempted by it since I want to expand my collection beyond gigantic slugs, aspersas and retics/fulicas. I've heard that they're very prone to biting other snails, and I've never actually kept any before so I was wondering if anyone has any advice? I actually have a pair of large tanks spare right now, since I've been shuffling insects around and cutting down on livefood stock.
Also for anyone who remembers my albino retics, Caesar is unsurprisingly still huge, weighing in at half a pound, while his tank mate is very, very small. I found a single bizarrely huge egg, and they've both been showing their genitals pretty often (and occasionally on the dinner table, thanks guys) but I'm a bit worried about the little one. He simply doesn't seem to grow any more, and I'm worried if they're sexually mature that egg laying might have a negative impact on them. I might just be worrying to much, but I definitely was not expecting him to be waving around his snail genitals all over the place.
One of the fulicas, which we joke are actually dwarves because they've always been so small despite having plenty of food/calcium, became rather ill after laying a large clutch, hence why I'm worried. They're perfectly fine, fortunately. Just needed a little extra care and food.

I have 2 immaculata var panthera in with other snails at the moment due to space but i would highly recommend them being in a tank on their own (with each other) as one of them has rasped a couple of my other snails shells despite having plenty of calcium around. And the same one has a habit of rasping its own shell.
