I have a glass tank in which I keep my snails. It has a wire lid. The substrate I have is a tropical substrate that was recommended to me on the forum. I have a hard time keeping the humidity in my tank. How do I keep moisture in my tank?

you don't need that much ventilation. i only have 2 holes in my tank lids (and the lids are not close fitting) and this is fine. I'ld cover over most of the lid with clingfilm or a plastic bag or similar. if you're feeling adventurous you could construct a plastic lid. or attach a piece of plastic sheet to the mesh lid (using cable ties for example). Keeping a shallow dish of water in the tank and some moss also helps

I flood my tank. I collect all my snails and remove them. I dig up all the dirt and push it to one side of the tank. I flood that side with half a litre of water and cover the water with the dirt. I also do this to get rid of worms and bugs. My bedroom is very dry so I have to do this twice a week and it stays pretty humid in my glass tank. You could try it but please be very careful.
