I just discovered a black patch on one of my healthy fulica's. What cause black tissue? is it a wound, could it be a birth mark?

I see no one's replied so I'll try. My biggest snail Halonen had a dark round spot on her a few days ago, but it went away. Her foot is many colours and looks darker when she's retracting, so since it went away, I decided it may have been something in her circulation or foot muscle. My other snails, who aren't as dark as her, haven't had that.

Thanks Etana,
How many days had your snail the black spot and was it changing before it went away?
My snail is the light grey fulica the spot contains other tissue then the rest of his body. Its like a birth mark, but i have no idea if snails could have that as well?

I'm sorry, I tried to think of this but I'm not sure. One day it was there, less than a week later it wasn't, that's all I can say. I don't handle Halonen very much because she's doing so well, but that also means I miss some things.
