Samuka is a little amber snail that I found on one of my dracaena plants in the beginning of June. She was nothing more than a dot (smaller than a pinhead) and needed a magnifying glass to make sure she was really a snail and not a tick or an insect. She's doing very well and this is sort of her "coming out party". Rather than uploading, easier to give a link for most of the photos of Samuka. phaedra-and-zaharina.weebly.com/samuka.html

Thank you. Have to post some new photos of her. Moved her to a new 2 gallon terrarium and pretty sure Samuka is fully grown at this point. She loves carrot shavings, pure spirulina and spirulina fish flakes. She likes red cabbage and sweet potato. Not big on fruits, except the occasional nibble on apple and pear shavings. And she will not touch cucumber. Never came across a snail who turned away from them.

Another sad passing. Little Samuka only lived about 5 months. She seemed fine, crawling around and eating normally this afternoon. When I went to see why she was at the bottom of her tank (unusual for her), I spritzed her with a little water, but she didn't move. I noticed a few little tiny bugs crawling over her back and quickly scooped her out, but it was too late.

Amber Snails do not live very long, as I've sadly found...
