I don't think my garden snails are eating. I feed them cauliflower and carrots and some lettuce but I'm not sure if they eat it. I heard they like fungis so I put a rotten strawberry in there. I also don't know if there drinking. I put a cotton ball in there but I don't know if they know how to drink it. They have a fake plant in there because I heard real plants could be toxic. The plant was for fish so it's safe. Any suggestions on my snails diet or eating? Thanks

How many do you have/What size/what species are they? Most garden snails will leave a noticeable impact on vegetables. You can always try spraying the food with a bit of beer as this will entice them to eat it (they like the smell of fermentation).
They do not need to drink from a cotton ball. They will get hydrated from the water content in food, as well as sucking off water droplets from the terrarium when you spray it.

I have 7 of all different sizes. There Helix asperas (idk what it's called) and my parents don't drink and I'm only 13. There's no noticeable bites in the food. They also have no calcium so I'm going to see if I can get eggs. Only problem is no one in my family likes to eat eggs and I don't want to waste them for the shell. Maybe il Make a cake lol

For calcium you can get a cuttle fish bone from a pet store, there not very expensive.
You could try cabbage leaves, thinly sliced sweet potato / yam, thinly sliced apple, pear, parsnip, they eat berries like strawberry which you've tried, raspberry, blueberry, also thinly sliced, pumpkin, squash, courgette / Zucchini. Slice veg thinly as they seem to like n eat this better.
Dried fish food which you make damp or mashed up unseasoned hard boiled or scrambled egg as they also eat protein, just don't leave egg in with them for to long as it can start to smell. You can also try dandelion leaves if you have them growing outside, just make sure nothing has been sprayed with pesticides.
Lettuce n cucumber don't have much food value so try to keep this to a minimum also tomato can be very acidic so keep this to a minimum.
Snails don't eat all the time so just leave food in with them, I usually change it about every 48 hrs. Mist the snails about twice a day, the tank just needs to be damp not soaking. You can also put a small shallow plastic tub in the tank with a bit of water so that they have a bath, and an old plastic flower pot on its side with a handful of earth in the base makes a good hide for them.
Hope that helps n the cake idea sounds a good one.

If you put a hungry snail by some lettuce, they'll definitely stop and eat it, you should be able to tell they are too.
