I recently found a small snail that I plan on bringing home with me. The only thing is I'm flying home. Can the snail go through the scanner without harm? Because I know its harmful to film. Have anyone ever done this. Please help , I am leaving in the next couple of days !!!

Here's a story, I was collecting slugs and I was letting the last one go. It's was dark out. I shook it out, and replaced the container back in my bag. We then traveled all the home on a plane. When I was unpacking my back and grabbed the container I instead felt a slug! It was fine and lived with me until it died.

It should be fine. If the snails were small enough just putting them in a pants pocket used to work too.

My snails, which were also relatively small, passed through without questions.

Do the guys on the scanner allow snails to go to different places or can they make a pest problem? Thanks

Most snails are illegal by way of sending them to different countries or passing state borders. A few species aren't. In general, though, airport scanners don't seem to pick up on snails.
