First of all. I used the search function to look for an answer, didn't really find it. But last night one of my snails started laying eggs. I removed them all. He was so kind to put them in one of my plant jars. Now i'm not planning on having a huge snail colony so i want to place the eggs in the wild (my garden maybe). I was wondering, how to do that? Do i also need to burry them? Pick a spot where there are others snails around? Look for a place under bushes or doesn't matter? They are in a tiny glass jar at the moment and are kept moist till i find a solution. My next question. I saw somewhere on here that people give fish or turtle food to their snails. Someone gave them little shrimp. I found some turtle food (brand JBL) and i was wondering if this is safe to give them as proteins? The bottle ingredients say: - proteins: 32%
- fat: 4,5%
- crude fiber: 6,5%
- crude ash: 38%
Website description: - Now with food sticks containing fish!
- Balanced mixture of dried crustaceans, insects and sticks.
- Main food for all turtles, incl. pond turtles, in temperate zones.
- Supplementary food for tropical pond turtles, birds and other carnivorous terrarium animals.
It looks like this:

Well the eggs are outside in the meanwhile. Couldn't wait till they start to hatch... I still would like some insight on the food. And some other question. I saw my snail crawling on the side of my tank. I noticed a small weird white spot. It's the snail that is recovering from shell damage if that might have any influence. Does anyone know what this white spot might be?? In case you don't see it, it's next to his breathing hole

Very sorry I didn't see this, and no one else did either. Our more experienced members (incl. those who are much better than I am) seem to most be somewhere else. White spots on snails can be scar tissue, even more possible if the shell damage is near. Does this make sense?

His shell was badly damaged all over. It doesn't affect his breathing tho.
