So my biggest snail (poseidon) has been burrowing in the dirt and at first i thought it was just doing that because its been slightly chilly (nothing too bad) but it moved and i noticed eggs in the tunnel it made. I honestly dont have room for a bunch of other snails so I was wondering what my best option is? should i leave them be, let them hatch then just let them go in a nearby field? Or is it acceptable to collect them and just put them in the freezer so they dont hatch?

If it's a snail species native or non-invasive to were you live then you can just let them go, if it's non-native then you should freeze the eggs.

If it's a snail species native or non-invasive to were you live then you can just let them go theyre Helix aspersa which I guess technically isnt native to california but theyre everywhere already. Do you think its still okay to just drop them off in a field after they hatch?
