Hi, I'm from the UK and this might be a dumb question but are there any special permits/action required to send/take snails across borders within the EU, eg from the UK to Germany?

Hi, I'm from the UK and this might be a dumb question but are there any special permits/action required to send/take snails across borders within the EU, eg from the UK to Germany? "There are no restrictions on bringing pet rodents, rabbits, birds, invertebrates, amphibians and reptiles to the UK from other EU countries. Pet rabbits and rodents from countries outside the EU must spend 4 months in quarantine. They need a rabies import licence. Contact the Centre for International Trade (Carlisle) for more information on the rules for travelling with these or other species of pet." www.gov.uk/government/organisations/animal-and-plant-health-agency/about/access-and-opening#centre-for-international-trade-carlisleI don't know about taking pet snails into other EU countries *from* the UK - you would probably have to check the rules for the specific country as laws may be different depending on the country. The link above has contact details where they may be able to help you.

morningcoffee thank you for your help! That's what I suspected, it was mostly curiosity as I don't currently have solid plans to do this, but it's good to know it's an option.
