Finally! I got my hands on one. I had been looking out for them for a while, as I had seen them before. But I hadn't come across one since I built my tank. This morning my mom called me out of bed. She had picked up two snails for me. One very cute very dark brown C. nemoralis with a pretty looking white line in its shell. And my amber snail

This is a snail I found before I had my tank I'm a bit sad that at that moment I hadn't considered to keep it as a pet So, this is one I hope to find again, or at least one like it

Pretty snail! I've only kept one amber snail before (Kanab ambersnail) but she was very entertaining to watch.

I am going to keep an eye out for some more So far I am very much enjoying this snail, its currently enjoying itself with a piece of tomato. Because it cannot get out of its shell as much as my other snails, it looks a bit clumsy, which is adorable! ^_^ The snail you're referring to, is that the one in your photo?

What type of camera do you use to take photos? Looks really high pixels.

Wow, your ebony sure was a special little snail. I'm sorry to read that she passed away so soon, she was very pretty! The brown one I found I think won't be very easy to find again too, but probably nowhere near ad rare as Ebony. Good to know they like cucumber, I would've thought so the wetter, the better I think. I have yet to decide on a name for mine. Nothing really came to mind yet.

So.. I just found her shell today, empty. I don't know what happened. She had lived with the other snails for all those days without any issues. Yesterday I took her out of a tomato she was sitting in. This evening I found her empty shell.
Has she died of old age and did the other snails eat her? Or did the other snails kill her? :S
Don't know, but it's sad ;-; I really liked her.

I'm so sorry. She was really beautiful, and I know how much you loved her. I don't think you did anything wrong, just that she died of old age or another natural cause and the others are her body after that.

So, snails can eat other when the fellow snail has passed away? Yes, they won't kill each other I believe, but do eat dead ones.

OMG! Amber Snails are literally EVERYWHERE where I live in ten springtime, I love to use those small baby containers as travel habitats and sneak them shopping or out to lunch 😂🐌
