No, this isn’t what you are expecting. I’m not an animal hoarder, honest! I just wanted to share the funny story of how I was overrun with baby snails a few years ago! (How’s THAT title for clickbait?) Okay, so as everyone who keeps aquatic, specifically Apple Snails knows, the gold ones have like explosive babies. They have so so many at once! I got gold Apple Snails, knowing with my luck they would NEVER breed, until one day I came downstairs and I saw a huge clutch of eggs at the top of the tank! When they finally did hatch, it was like Christmas morning! The babies were no bigger than the size of a sesame seed, and there were SO MANY of them! About 500!! I managed to keep a lot of them for a long time however some I lost to the filter, poor little things. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I would definitely do it all again. Just no filter this time!

Lol! One time I had over 200 baby Cepaea because I missed a clutch of around 95 eggs. I already had around 100. I ended up releasing them in my backyard.

Ended up with 90-odd baby Fulicas back in April, that was fun! Managed to give away or sell most of them, though the fatality rate was a little depressing, but for a good few months I had about three extra tanks in my bedroom!
