One of my Cornu Aspersas has a gorgeous light colored shell, and judging by her size I'd say she's a full grown adult but not old. The other day out of nowhere I see she has a very large white spot on her shell, surrounded by lighter white discoloration. I figured it was oatmeal or something so I took a paper towel with water and tried to scrub it off, but the second the water touched her shell I could tell it wasn't oatmeal, and likely not going to come off and it hasn't, looks permanent. She had the most gorgeous shell and now this big white mark is concerning to me although nothing else appears to be wrong with her. Does anyone know what this might be?! Can post before and after pics if that would help. Thank you ** and just to make sure this reaches as many as possible: I am desperately searching for either a long term sitter in the Los Angeles, CA area or someone who knows how I could force them into hibernation for at least 3 months, so if anyone can help with either Of those things please let me know! Thanks

Pictures might be useful. Does she live alone or are there other snails in the tank, because I know sometimes they rasp on each other and that might be the cause.
