Ciclope, my one-eyed snail, has been very inactive for the last couple of months. He rarely gets out of his shell and when he does he just looks around for a little before going back inside, he doesn't even try to eat or move and his body seems too small for the shell. He also has a weird white bubble next to his mouth that grew in size over time.
He's a garden snail that I got at least 3 years ago and he was already an adult when I got him, so I suspect he's already reached or surpassed the natural lifespan of his species. Can I do anything to help him?

Hi simple,
I don't know much about old snails, but for the white bubble, do you think it could be gut extrusion? I don't know much about it either, but according to what I've read, the symptoms look very suspicious.

I don't believe it's gut extrusion as he's had that white spot for years. It doesn't seem to affect him but it worries me. My free ImageShack trial has ended so I can't post pictures of him now, but I have an older picture of him where the white spot is visible. It's the tiny white bubble near his right tentacle, but it's much larger now.

I am not sure what that white spot is, but it's probably low on the list of concerning things that could have happened to the snail. If it is getting a good diet of mixed produce and a protein source then there is not much else you can do IMO.
