Give them a water bath ( tepid water), ( just spray well the snail) and put different food , quite near them, like piece of pear, apple, cucumber... Don´t take the food out during the day and night.

Try getting it up to at least 24c in the day if you can, you might see a change with them then.

Yes, 24 sounds good. Mine seem to love temps around 25, 26...

Yesterday I put them with lots of greens and fruit and they bite the fruit 3 or 4 times and went sleep again... One of then seems a Little skiny.. How you warm up your cages? I use an Hagen Heatwave Vivarium Heater for reptiles (16W) , it's under the cage, away of the zone were snails are sleeping. But it can't heat the cage upper 20ºC... I will try isolate the cage better...

you could relocate the tank nearer to a radiator, or use a lamp shining into the tank, one that works up a lot of heat, but not in the tank or else the snails may burn themselves on it Thats what i do, i have a Kobra heat mat on the side of the tank and then a light above the tank shining in and the tank stays at a constant 26°C and drops to 22°C at night.

I use lights too, mine are just cheap clip on fittings with normal red bulbs in. 2 are 60w and 1 is 40w, but I haven't noticed a difference in temps from them, they both make the tanks go up to around 26c

not in the tank, outside the tank but pointing inwards mine are tube lights, and let off a lot of heat

60 or 40 watts. You shouldn´t put your tank in the sun, because of the risk of dehidration. Try to heat up it, with lamps or a radiator, or a heat mat.

Yes heatmats are very good and safe, you just stick them on the outside of the tank couldn't be easier. I think also that your snails are probably not warm enough and that is why they are sleeping so much. You'll see a big difference in them if you warm them up a bit ;D

They're safe as long as you have the right fuse. I keep meaning to try and find the news page, a zoo lost their whole reptile area because of a bad fuse.
Not trying to sound like you shouldn't use them btw!! I have 2 myself as a back up so it would be pretty stupid if I said don't use them lol

No problem with the sun, the cage is ultra wet! I can't see the snails in side with all the condensation and it isn't completely closed. The bigger snail is eating at this moment , the sun is a good idea but the sunny days end tomorrow The lights are fixed out of the cage wright?

My lights are done like this (the other is on the shelf below): I think Sarahs are above her tanks. She did post pics of them a while ago.

Ok if you want to use the sun, use it, but use it rarely, only to warm up faster, because snails avoid sun, as much as they can. Too much condensation? The water of your compost is evaporating.... That´s not good. If you still let the tank on the sun, the compost will lose it´s water and get dry. I´m happy to know that the bigger one is eating. The lamps ( you can use also light bulbs) should be fixed out of the tank, yes. Good luck.

You can see the light above the tanks and they also have a heat mat on the same side, the snails then also have a choice whether to side on the really warm side of the tank, in between or on the cooler end :-)

Hum... ok it's easier than what I was thinking Yep it's true apple, snails don't like the sun, they hide behind the rocks and the trunks, the tank have 5dm3 of humus, it takes at less 2 days until start getting dry, however I don't let my snaillies alone at the sun more than 1 hour
