Hiya!
I have two Fulica - the oldest being around 8 years old and the younger around 5/6 years. Over the last few months their shells have started to become white on the tip, sometimes even looking pink! The underside of the shell (what sits on the substrate) is also starting to go white - almost like it’s getting thinner.
The white parts aren’t crumbling and doesn’t brush off. They have a constant supply of calcium from cuttlefish bone - which is constantly getting dirty, so I know they’ve been at it!
Could it be from being too damp/humid or is it just that they are needing more calcium??

Neither. Old snail shells just start to wear down with time. You could try polishing it with oil as a preventative measure, but other than the appearance it shouldn't be detrimental. Feeding calcium won't help since this is old shell material already laid down.
