Hello! I’m new around here. I have 2 questions.
#1 is it against the rules to advertise or leave a link to my YouTube channel? It’s a snail channel and I thought maybe people here would wanna see it. So where should I post it and is it alowed?
#2 I have pet snails (helix aspersa, and some other species) I do have some slugs, Rollie pollies, fish, and woolly caterpillar. But, the point is I collect snail shells when I’m out looking around in the woods. (If the snails shell is cracked I’ll take them in and help heal them, but if there’s no snail in the shell I’ll collect them) so I have a collection, and one day me and my aunt were outside looking and found this white snails shell. I looked painted but the whole shell, inside and outside, is white. So I’m unsure if it’s real or painted. I can try and leave a picture of it. Thanks and awesome website I look at it a lot!

I'm not sure about the Youtube channel. I'd guess it would be fine to post it Snail Forums and Websites.
If there's no snails local to you with white shells, it could be due to age. The top colour wears off over time leaving the calcium exposed.

I’ve found many plain white shells of many different species. When a shell sits out in the weather to long, the outer color wears off leaving the plain white calcium.

Ok thanks! It’s just weird the way the one I found looks. Idk how to put a photo on here but it looks almost painted. I thought maybe it was that the shell was old but idk.
