I found a slug yesterday. Is the little guy dead now?

I found this cutie in damp grass under a wood plank. I think it was Genus Limax. I put it on some paper towels along with fresh strawberries and tomatoes- It wasn't eating. I then had to put it somewhere else, so I put it on the windowsill. This morning, I woke up to the slug not moving and stiff.



I found the slug.

I then moved the slug to the windowsill. This morning, he was unmoving and stiff.
