Next trip for anyone will probably be june/july 2007. The market only get a couple of shipments a year and it's usually during those two months.

I've just been to Brixton(and got 3 margies),and there are still some snails left but it's slowly coming to an end.Snails are still in pretty good condition though, surprisingly.

I got two Tigers from him last week and they are lovely. Really want to see what its like there and hopefully pick up Sweet potato cheaper than morrisons. I found this link which was quite helpful www.igor.demon.co.uk/Brixton/David

Charlie, why don't you contact Steve at Tarantulabarn and ask if he will help you to rehome Brixton rescue snails? He saved dozens and I believe he still has quite a few left. www.tarantulabarn.com/

I got 4 Margies from Brixton today. Bloody hell that place is enough to make a grown man cry. They are just starting to move but if they survive im keeping them for ages as they deserve to be spoilt rotten.
Please no rehoming requests on these but i will be going again at some point.
How long do you keep them quarantined before mixing with my other snails and should it be one container per snail or is it okay to keep them together?
Ta Muchly

Yes pretty sad place for snails isn't it?Those Margies are tough snails so they should be ok.You can keep them all together, for about a month I guess. They probably need a good scrub,if they are anything as dirty as mine were lol.Good luck.

They have had the toothbrush session and came up lovely - Im amazed i found some with no shell damage. I suppose thats not the point in saving them but i havent tried doing a shell patch before. Maybe on the next visit.
Whats the reason behind the seasonality of the snail availability from Brixton? Is it as they dont find them in the wild?

Why don't you just save up a bit more money then ask Steve again,it would be alot less hassle than trying to find someone to take you to Brixton and Steve quarantines them feeds them up etc then when he thinks that they're healthy he sends them out?
