I would have thought you can try any edible seeds. I've just bought some pine nuts to try so I'll let you know how I get on.

was it Arno who said he planted seeds in his tanks?
I have been planting all my apple seeds in the margie tank substrate to see if they will grow as quite often the odd shoot will appear from the substrate from some piece of fruit they have have been eating.

They do eat pine nuts. At least mine do anyway ;D lol I bought a mixed bag ages ago (I think I remember asking about the pine nuts actually lol) and people said they should be ok so I tried then and they were fine.

It was originally that way with me. The seeds from apples and oranges etc germinated in the tanks so I have been deliberately planting them now.
