Thank you for sharing these photographs. They are such pretty snails. Are they native to Russia? I hope you don't mind my asking but am such a newbie.

Thank you for your reply! As we all know Russia is not very warm country . But because of Worlds' climate warming Roman snails are now native even for Moscow region. Where I've got them. And for south of Russia they are very ordinary animals.

They look like happy snails...I notice a difference in the neck lenth...but they look like they have a wider body than other land snails...Linda

pheonixx, when they are moving their necks are much longer and their bodies are not so wide

What I forgot to say: very very nice enclosure. Very natural with the leaves and mossy rock. I bet the snails love it.

They look like helix pomatia to me. Anyway, lovely snails you got. sophie The roman snail is another name for the H. Pomatia, so I'd say you were right they do look like them alot.
