This is an ickle snail that Tommy brought in from the garden yesterday. Its shell was badly cracked and ummm flapping in half and i thought it would die...but its still alive. He really hasn't got a shell at all and he's still plodding around his little tank as though nothing is wrong! Do you think he will live long like this? What are the chances of him regenerating that!!?? Should I remove the flapping part of the shell or leave it incase i pull more off?? Poor little guy...these snails keep amazing me! Anjie,x.

Well,i've seen plenty of damaged shells, but this must one of the worst.Better very gently remove the loose part so it wont get caught behind something. Not sure if it will regrow though, although snails sometimes show amazing regeneration.
