It's hard to show in photos but the lip really curls around and almost back on itself. In fact it is very like a U, (like you're seeing it typed). There was loads of soil in there that I had to clean out.

Beautiful snails - very unusual faces. Would love a few babies when you get some, please. Thanks for the photos! OT I Know - don't tell me off! How on earth do you get such clear pics? I've got a 5m pixel camera and yet my pics are always blurred!!!

The camera I use has a macro function for taking ultra closeups. Without it, the pictures are very blurred. You set macro mode, click once to focus, then again to take the picture. I'm not particularly well up on cameras, but this is a few years old now so I imagine a lot of newer cameras have this function.

oh wow they are gorgeous. They're exactly like my megalobulimus except smaller and a different colour
I love the shell colour and the pink lip. And the huge mouth.
Experiment with many different types of fruit and vegetables until you find out their favourite. I hope you can breed them. Where did you get them?
kind regards
mike

I looked through the Bulimidae section and I couldn't find anything. But on the Megalobulimidae section there is this: which looks like it. But I think Megalobulimidae are confined to South America.

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

no worries on the baby front, this thread can be the request list Hope it isn't too soon thought coz I'm exhausted from sending out so many snails Just joking, it'd be nice to have some success. So far they don't seem interested in much food. Lettuce goes down well, and a little apple and banana. They are very secretive and nearly completely nocturnal, spending daytime, burrowed as deep as they can. They have fairly flat bodeis, not quite the fullness or shape of African ones. And they don't have much suction at all, the main power coming further down the foot than you would expect.

i think u must keep 2 for me...... even if im not allowed them now, eventually we are going to HAVE to get a bigger tank its [length] 38cm [width] 28cm and [height] 25/6cm. all of my snails are juvenile at the mo, except gary which is errr....... oh i dont know. anyway in that tank i have: 3 tigers, 1 panthera, 1 dimidiata and 1 iredelei. they grow to an average of 18cm [for me, x3] 12 - 15cm [x1] 12cm [x1] and somewhere between 6 and 11 [x1]. so lets see, thats... hold on 52..... 70........ 82c, in all!!!!!!!!! yeah, i will definately need more tank[sssssssss]. and then with a thingy magigy barbados thing here that will be even more! so im pretty sure my mum will get more tanks when they grow bigger ;D so remember, when they have babies, save 2 for me!
