Interesting that mine are also hanging from the lid! I ended up putting there food high up on the branches and they just reached down whilst still stuck to the lid and ate it from there!

After all, Kevin did the 'legwork'. Re. albino, it was only fair I've got the blue/green one ;D

What food was it? The remaining snails have eaten some cherry leaves, (good idea Gabi ), but ignored Hazel and bramble.

Great to hear, that they love really cherry-leaves. All my other snails love them too (only the Tigers not, they are not even going near them). So I think I will dry leaves from my cherry-tree for winter. Maybe they will eat them then when I wet them again. Hope my snailies arrive tomorrow and needn´t to go over weekend. But would be near a miracle if they appear tomorrow. Hope they survive the long journey. Kind regards, Gabi

Arnt cherry tree leaves quite toxic? I know thier wood/sap is unsafe for birds.. birds being far removed from snails I know still. They take sweetpotato btw, and dislike marrow.

I have noticed that my snails (not the lignus yet) eat a bit of their shell when it got harmed during the transport. Just like they are trying to get the sharp ends off. Could that be?
My lignus is just eating a whole huge leaf of the cherry-tree. What shall I feed em in winter!?!
