I've no idea, I have Fulicas and let them breed a few years ago. Two batches. One produced strong healthy babes, now grown up (and most have moved on), the other produced 'runts', for want of a better word, not trying to insult my snailies. These I kept as it's not fair to give/sell them on to people but they died aged between 18months and two and half years old. Premturely me thinks. They never did grow beyond the size of a garden snail. I guess sometimes it happens for some strange reason. Good luck xx

Good luck xx Are your fulica related? is it likely that they come from the same batch? maybe its because of inbreeding? im not sure if theres a chance that inbred snails can appear both healthy or stunted in different batches though? loops, what size are your tigers? are they both captive bred? ive noticed tigers are slower growers than some species.

My Brixton tigers are huge as well (about 18cm) and theyre still growing new shell, your 11cm tiger if wild caught may be adult? it isnt that unusual for some snails to stay smaller.

Mine are all around 14-16cm, and only one of them has an inch of new shell. Dave's not grown at all, his shell certainly looks like one of an older/fully grown snail. Jingles has the new growth, and Jaffa has some new growth but we're talking in millimetres. I guess some tigers just dont grow to the whopping proportions we think they do. I wonder what the biggest Brixton tiger measured this year? That'd make a good thread...
