I use cuttlefish because it is easily obtainable, but I have also tried crushed oyster shell and they loved this. Must say though that with the oyster shell they seemed to pass it straight through them as it came out the other end looking exactly the same as when it went in. ;D

I use cuttle fish and powdered oyster shell, my WC tigers will only eat the oyster shell and the others eat a mixture of both.

I use cuttlefish for my bigger snails. My fulica can get through a small one in a month. My smaller (babyish) immaculata and iredali eat it too.
I have quite a tiny iredali and she is really cute but small. She won't eat cuttlefish but will eat limestone flour if I add it to a cereal mix.
Henceforth I feed her separately to the others.

Yes,it is a good alternative to cuttle fish, you can also use crushed oyster shell(if you can find it).
