I've just noticed today that my snail has an odd bit to his shell. Round the bottom of the shell there's a strip that looks quite thin and is paler than the rest of his shell. Could this be new growth? Thanks

Hmm, the thin bit round his shell seems to have got bigger - but his shell hasn't, if that makes any sense. It almost looks like it has spread up the shell... I'm not too worried as some of it looks like it's hardening up and he's active, eating well and getting plenty of cuttlefish. Just wondering if this is normal? Thanks
