OK - I hope this is the correct place to post this. I have some tree bark and want to put in my (3!) snail tanks. What do I need to do with it, first? Hope others will see this in the future and know what to do, also. Have asked Paul about this before but have lost the answer - typical of me! Thank you everyone. ;D

bung in a microwave for up to 60 seconds and any nasties will be killed. just keep an eye on it and aslong as it aint wet it will be fine, if ti is wet then bung it in the oven on lowest heat and keep an eye on it, after 20 -30 minutes it will be ok.

By the way, Ceiron: have just visited your space and see that you are a herpologist. That's exactly what my daughter, Darra, wishes to be. She is nearly 11 and is fanatical about reptiles and amphibians. I'll take her to some of your links. Thanks Ceiron.
