I'm a high schooler, and I've only had snails for a very short time - maybe three weeks. It happened the other day, when I was waiting at the bus stop. Some of the boys found snails in the grass and were going to step on them. I rescued them. Originally I was just going to put them under a bush, but someone had sprinkled Slug-B-Gone all around them; this was probably why the snails were out in the grass. So I took them home. Luckily, I had a big empty plastic jar to put them in. Some of them died, but about nine survived and got healthy. I couldn't find a good place to put them (it's a suburb, everything is either sprayed or full of children), so I'm keeping them for now. Found this place while looking for information. Signed up so I could ask questions.
I think that's it. I'm glad this place exists; I didn't know there were people who kept pet snails (except as fish-tank cleaners), so I was a little worried. It's nice not to have to worry too much anymore.

Hi!
I think this probably is going to be big. They're awfully endearing... I wish I could show pictures, unfortunately my camera's broken. It ought to be fixed this weekend, I'll put pictures up then.
